During the two day course, you will be taught by our club Yachtmaster Instructors. (YMI) You get involved in the more adventurous aspects of sailing and gain a practical insight into some of our more advanced courses.

Powerboat Skills

Rib at SpeedThese two club courses are ideal for brushing up existing skills or wishing to work up towards completing you RYA Intermediate or Advanced Powerboating course.

During these two day course, your experienced club instructor will work to your own individual level, whether a rusty L2 or advanced.

 

Handling Skills Course

This course is designed to teach the student the art of safely handing a rib at high and low speed in varied condition.

You must be a minimum of RYA L2 to take part and this courswe will build on your experience giving you more confidence on the water.

Night Navigation Course

This course is an introduction to navigating and handling a powerboat at night.

Manoeuvring a RIB in fading light or in the dark is challenging but the instructor will be on hand to guide and advise you.

This is aimed at more experience powerboaters who are looking at intermediate or advanced courses.

Please note, this does not enable members to use the club rib at night unless they hold the RYA Advanced certificate.

The price includes the rib, instructor, mooring and all fuel.
