home1The MPSC own two yachts and both are available for private charter by members who have a practical Day Skipper qualification or higher.
‘Blue Spirit’ is a Hallberg Rassy 34. She was bought new in 2002 and is equipped to sleep up to 6 people. In 2005 she was fitted with a new state of the art radar and chartplotter. She is our our lead training yacht but like all our yachts is available for private charter to members.

‘Sapphire’ is currently being sold.

‘Pride of Broadway’ is our latest purchase in 2009. She is a Hallberg Rassy 342 and was originally ordered to replace ‘Blue Spirit’. Due to increasing demand we are keeping Spirit so ‘Pride’ will be available to members for a greater number of days charter. She sleeps 6 people and has all the modern electronic toys you’d expect of a new boat including radar, chart plotter and AIS. She has wheel steering.

All our yachts have roller reefing headsails, carry an EPIRB in case of emergencies and are equipped with a comprehensive chart folio in addition to the plotter.  As a Day Skipper you will normally be restricted to the Solent area between the forts and Hurst Castle, but as your experience and ability increases the area may be extended.

Dates of availability are shown below together with the current charter rate.

Full details of the yacht booking conditions are available from the ‘Useful Documents‘ page.

To make a booking, first telephone the clubline 07920 799270 and make a reservation then confirm your booking by completing the online charter booking form together with a deposit. You will receive an email confirmation.

Yacht Charter – Price Comparison

Why pay more than twice as much with other companies

There is often discussion from members regarding our charter rates especially those at weekends. We are ever mindful to keep our prices at an advantageous rate for members, and to keep you fully informed, the following are some examples which we regularly monitor. It is often difficult to make direct comparisons as many companies charge for such things as wet weather gear or even engine hours.
The following is based on a weekend charter at peak season rates.
