The MPSC has entered a team for the World Police Sailing Championships to be held in Croatia from 23rd to 28th September 2018.
Previously known as the Coppers Cup the World Police Sailing Championships is a bi annual event growing in stature at a time when Police Sport as a whole is in decline, something that has impacted on the MPSC in recent times.
The team of 7 skippered by Nick Mason fly out on 22nd September to collect their boat from Marina Hramina, Murter Island Croatia. The Met team have entered the event on two previous occasions finishing third in 2016 and winning (and hosting) the event in 2014.
A series of races commence on the 23rd in Bavaria 40 yachts fully coded for racing. There are 14 entries from as far afield as Austrailia and Hong Kong who will battle it out for the championship.
The Met Team is Nick Mason, Fran Gifford, Andy Rowell, Andy Taverner, Stuart Jenkins, Tim Bewicke and Pete Walker
