The MPSC own two yachts that are available for private charter by members who have a practical Day Skipper qualification or higher and a SRC VHF radio licence.

‘Pride of Broadway’ is a Hallberg Rassy 342

Both yachts are  MCA coded and are safe and well equipped, with superb handling characteristics. Down below they can sleep up to 6 people split between two cabins and the saloon.

Pride of Broadway is our training yacht and has wheel steering whilst Lyra of Broadway has twin wheel steering.

Fuel and Gas

Fuel and Gas are included in the charter price. This will be reviewed throughout the year due to the current fuel price situation.

Covid-19
To help keep our staff and club members safe and comply with current restrictions we have made some important changes to how you can Charter and how we will conduct our Handovers and Receptions.
 
Where possible handovers will be remote.
 
When you have made your booking we will send you 3 documents which you will need to read prior to your charter.
 
Safety information is in 2 parts and contains instructions and information regarding all safety equipment and ancillary equipment on board. 
Charter Booking and Handover gives information about the new handover procedure, including how to access to base, pontoons and the boats. All of  which has had to change. 
Next of Kin this form must be completed and return via email before you charter.
 
If you or any of your crew are showing any symptoms of the Corona virus we ask that you do not come to the base, If anyone shows symptoms whilst on board or within the days following please inform one of the ops team by phone as soon as possible. We will keep your next of Kin forms for 21 days. 
 
We hope these extra measures do not get in the way of you having a pleasant sail.

Medical and Dietary Declaration

Having a medical condition need not necessarily prevent you from taking a full part in the course but the Club Principal must be aware of any potential problems.

If you are in any doubt about your fitness to take part in a course, speak to us on the clubline prior to your course.

By completing the course booking form you make the following declarations and undertakings:-
I hereby declare that I have recorded below details of any medical condition which may affect my fitness to participate in the course and in particular I have included details where I suffer from asthma/bronchitis, angina or heart condition, fits, fainting or blackouts, severe headaches, diabetes, travel sickness, allergies to medication or other allergies.

I undertake to inform the Metropolitan Police Sailing Club Ltd and the course instructor of any relevant medical condition which may become apparent between now and the start of the course, and of any medication I am taking.

I have included below details of any dietary requirements and any allergies, including allergies to food and medication.
