This is an advanced seven day on board intensive course. The aim is to teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a cruising yacht safely on longer coastal passages by day and night.

It covers all aspects of skippering but focuses on the close quarters boat handling and precise night time pilotage.

This is designed to prepare you for examination by an independent RYA examiner for the award of a DoT certificate for Yachtmaster Coastal.

This course should not be confused with the RYA Coastal Skipper which is a course completion certificate. The RYA Coastal Skipper is a separate course and can not be achieved on this course.
